You see what I see? Anna bears a striking resemblance to her preceding Disney Princess, Rapunzel. Some are saying this is a real disappointment because they were so looking forward to Anna. Others say Anna looks too goofy despite such a serious sounding movie title.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

DeleteI don't know if it's official, but after seeing the movie I'd believe it. Apparently Rapunzel and Anna (and therefore Elsa as well) are supposed to be cousins. Rapunzel and Flynn appear briefly in the film as guests to the coronation ceremony (if you blink you'll miss them) and if you watch Anna's quarks and methods of dealing with people, you'll realize it's not only her looks that are reminiscent of Rapunzel. Beyond all that, however, assuming this is true, Anna has enough of her own uniqueness-es to be a different person despite many of the same "genes". I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, so I won't say much, but this explanation is the one I believe after being major fan of both movies. Also if anyone has any further info for/against this rumor I'd love to hear it.
DeleteAnna's eyebrow comes down further, her ears are larger, her eye is shaped slightly different (Rupunzel has rounder eyes, Anna's are more oval. you can make out the sides of her nose (unlike Rapunzel, at least in the image you show) especially where eyebrow meets nose, her lips are thinner and her mouth wider, her nose is flatter, and her cheekbones are lower and less predominant.......yeah, TOTALLY look alike.

DeleteI completely agree with you. This post was made months before Frozen was released. This image of Anna sort of makes her look dumb, but it looks completely different than the movie version of Anna. I suppose Disney looked at all the buzz made over their similarities and decided to change her appearance, which does look very pretty.

Fun fact about their similar features. The former queen of Arendell and the Queen of Corona (Rapunzel's mother) are sisters. Making Anna and Rapunzel cousins.
